The command prompt, sometimes referred to as the terminal, is a very useful tool to run and debug code. This article will explain how to open it on different operating systems.
On Windows, press the Windows key and the R key at the same time. A dialog box with the title “run” should appear. Type “cmd” into the box and hit enter. The window that opens up is the command prompt.
On MacOS, press the command and the space bar at the same time to open Spotlight. Type “Terminal” and hit enter. The command prompt should open up.
On Ubuntu, press the Control, Alt and T keys at the same time. The command prompt should open up.
If your OS isn’t here, a quick google search “how to open command prompt” + your OS name should give you what you need.
